LAS VEGAS, NV - Governor Joe Lombardo today proudly announced the endorsement of the Western States Regional Council of Carpenters (WSRCC) for his re-election campaign. In their press release, they highlighted his continued commitment to strengthening Nevada’s workforce, expanding economic opportunity, and creating good-paying jobs across the state. Notably, the WSRCC endorsed Democratic Governor Steve Sisolak in the 2022 gubernatorial election, making this endorsement a reflection of the confidence Nevada’s skilled trades have in Governor Lombardo’s leadership and results.
Governor Lombardo welcomed the endorsement and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the men and women who help build Nevada in his statement below:
“I’m proud to earn the support and trust of the Western States Regional Council of Carpenters and their hardworking members. These skilled tradespeople of Local 971 and Local 1977 are essential to building Nevada’s future, constructing quality homes and infrastructure, and strengthening our state’s economy. I remain committed to working alongside organizations like the WSRCC to expand opportunities for Nevada’s skilled trades, support job growth, and ensure workers and their families can succeed for generations to come," said Governor Joe Lombardo.
Background on WRCC:
The WSRCC represents more than 60,000 union members across the western United States, including thousands of highly skilled tradespeople across Nevada through Local 971 and Local 1977. Their members perform critical work across the construction industry, from concrete form carpenters, drywallers, lathers, and insulators to finish carpenters, cabinet installers, and floor installers, helping deliver the infrastructure, housing, and development projects that keep Nevada growing.
