LAS VEGAS, NV - Today, the Lombardo campaign launched a new unafFORDable website detailing Aaron Ford's $18 billion policy agenda and the financial burden it would place on Nevada families. The website showcases that Ford's plan would cost more than $18 billion over four years - equivalent to $14,000 per Nevada family - while raising serious concerns that his plan would result in higher sales taxes, payroll taxes, and business taxes. To put things into perspective, $14,000 a year could cover a year's worth of mortgage or rent payments, pay for a year of childcare, pay for a year of in-state college tuition, or pay for a family vacation.

Aaron Ford has refused to acknowledge that in order to pay for massive new government spending, you have to raise taxes. Just today, the Nevada Independent reported that "these proposals are likely to cost hundreds of millions — so much money that it's hard to envision the state bankrolling it without raising more revenue."Aaron Ford himself has previously stated, '"we'll need to find opportunities to increase revenues" and "the bottom line on taxes is we need new revenue in this state." That's politician-speak for higher taxes on hardworking Nevada families.

"Aaron Ford's plan would be the largest expansion of government spending that would raise taxes on hardworking Nevadans. With Gavin Newsom's endorsement comes the same failed California formula: higher taxes, bigger government, and higher costs. For months, Aaron Ford has promised Nevadans everything under the sun while refusing to explain how he'd pay for it. Now, Nevadans can see exactly what's at stake. Aaron Ford's agenda is simply unaffordable for Nevada families." - Halee Dobbins, Joe Lombardo for Governor Campaign Spokeswoman
