ICYMI: Nevada Trucking Association Endorses Governor Joe Lombardo

LAS VEGAS, NV - In case you missed it, the Nevada Trucking Association (NTA) endorsed Governor Joe Lombardo for re-election, highlighting his strong record of supporting Nevada’s trucking industry, cutting red tape, and delivering results:

“Governor Lombardo has consistently supported the trucking industry. He recognizes the industry’s importance to employment and every economic sector. During his term, regulatory burdens have been reduced, permitting has been made more efficient, and the state has maintained a business-friendly approach that enables businesses to operate effectively. [...]

Governor Lombardo has also prioritized public safety. His administration has advanced highway enforcement, supported commercial driver training, and invested in road and infrastructure upgrades to reduce congestion and improve conditions for all road users. He has supported measures that protect drivers and the public while opposing broad mandates that fail to account for Nevada's uniqueness."

NTA also specifically praised Governor Lombardo’s leadership in addressing one of the most pressing challenges facing the industry, fuel reliability and cost:

“We specifically commend Governor Lombardo for creating the Fuel Resiliency Task Force… Nevada’s geography - long rural stretches with sparse fueling stations - makes fuel supply and cost stability essential for trucking operations… The Task Force brings together industry representatives, energy specialists, and state officials to improve supply reliability, reduce exposure to external volatility, and limit the impact of potential disruptions.”

The Nevada Trucking Association is a nonprofit association developed to promoting the interests of the trucking and bus industries. The Nevada Trucking Association is a member-driven organization dedicated to protect the trucking industry against costly regulatory intrusions and increasing tax burdens. In 1932 the Nevada Trucking Association was originally created as the Commercial Motor Operators of Nevada. The Commercial Motor Operators of Nevada was formed as a defensive measure in the face of oppressive and threatening legislation towards truck drivers and bus operators in Nevada. The times have changed but the need to stand together has never been greater. Today the Nevada Trucking Association’s goal is to continue uniting the many different companies which make up the motor carrier industry in Nevada.
