LAS VEGAS, NV — Governor Joe Lombardo’s re-election campaign released a new television ad titled “Fights,” featuring Democrat Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson, who recently endorsed Governor Lombardo for re-election.

The ad highlights Wolfson’s bipartisan endorsement of Governor Lombardo and their 30-year history of working together to fight crime, protect victims, and keep violent criminals behind bars, including:

  • Cracking down on domestic abusers and strengthening protections for crime victims

  • Passing bipartisan legislation increasing penalties for drug dealers and human traffickers

  • Making Nevada schools safer

  • Holding violent criminals accountable and keeping them behind bars

In the ad, Wolfson draws a direct contrast between Governor Lombardo’s public safety record and Attorney General Aaron Ford, stating:

“Aaron Ford calls himself Nevada’s ‘Top Cop’ – No Way. Ford cares more about criminals than victims. Joe Lombardo fights for us.”

While Governor Lombardo has been backed by multiple law enforcement officers, groups, and organizations, Aaron Ford was caught fabricating endorsements from law enforcement organizations. As a result, the law enforcement group depicted in the ad sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Ford campaign demanding the advertisement be removed.

Governor Lombardo's endorsements from law enforcement organizations include: the Carson City Sheriff’s Supervisory Association, Las Vegas Metro Police Managers & Supervisors Association, Las Vegas Police Protective Association (LVPPA), Peace Officer Research Association of Nevada (PORAN), Police Officers Association of CCSD (POACCSD), Public Safety Alliance of Nevada (PSAN), Washoe County Sheriff Deputies Association (WCSDA), Reno Police Protective Association, Sparks Police Protective Association, Douglas County Sheriff Protective Association, LVPOA, Washoe County School Police Officer’s Association, and the Nevada Police Union (NPU).

In addition to his endorsements from major law enforcement organizations, Governor Lombardo has been endorsed by: Carson City Sheriff Kenneth Furlong, Churchill County Sheriff Lee Orozco, Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill, Douglas County Sheriff Daniel Coverley, Elko County Sheriff Aitor Narvaiza, Eureka County Sheriff Miles Umina, Humboldt County Sheriff Angel Cardenas, Lander County Sheriff Ron Unger, Lincoln County Sheriff Derek Foremaster, Lyon County Sheriff Brad Pope, Pershing County Sheriff Jerry Allen, Storey County Sheriff Mike Cullen, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam, and White Pine County Sheriff Scott Henroid.
