As Californians Flee Newsom's Policies, Aaron Ford Campaigns Alongside Him

LAS VEGAS, NV - As Californians continue fleeing their state's affordability crisis for Nevada, Aaron Ford is spending the weekend campaigning with the governor whose policies helped create it.

This weekend, Aaron Ford is fundraising and campaigning alongside California Governor Gavin Newsom, the poster child for the progressive policies that have driven families and businesses out of California and into Nevada.

According to an April 2026 Las Vegas Review-Journal report, Nevada remains the “biggest net recipient of Californians in the nation on a per capita basis,” citing Nevada’s affordability as a key driver for families leaving California.

Under Gavin Newsom, California ranked last on the U-Haul Growth Index for the sixth consecutive year – seeing a larger net loss of one-way moving customers than any other state in 2025.

Meanwhile under Governor Joe Lombardo, Nevada climbed 15 spots in the U-Haul Growth Index, ranking in the top 20 states for growth.

It’s no surprise that Californians are fleeing Newsom’s disastrous policies and heading to Nevada for new opportunities.

Under Governor Lombardo:
